Biography

Jihye Lee earned her MSW and BA in Social Work at Chung-Ang University in Seoul, South Korea. Her research focuses on social policies related to the economic integration and multidimensional poverty of immigrants, with a specific emphasis on forced and unauthorized migration populations. Her research was inspired by her experiences as a researcher and social worker, during which she witnessed how exclusionary social policies contribute to poverty and hinder social integration into the host community among immigrant young adults. Jihye’s primary goal is to examine the trajectory of multidimensional exclusion among immigrant populations exposed to poverty and inequality.
