Amanda Gilbert

Amanda’s research focuses on chronic disease and obesity prevention for women of reproductive age and families. Specifically, Amanda is interested in understanding how system level environmental factors influence implementation of evidence-based programs and policies for chronic disease prevention in this population.

Prior to entering the PhD program in Public Health Sciences at Washington University in St. Louis, she worked for several years as an oncology social worker at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York. A licensed clinical social worker, Amanda holds a master of public health from Washington University in St. Louis, a master of social work from New York University, and a bachelors degree in anthropology from Brandeis University.
