Brown School Launches New Website 8/30/2017 Community Engagement; Public Health; Social Work Share this Story: This summer, the Brown School at Washington University launched a new website to better highlight its strengths and innovations. The site helps prospective students and faculty identify what makes our School so distinctive. The updates also help alumni, research audiences, community partners and other stakeholders connect more easily to the Brown School and our work. With help from local design and branding firm, Almanac, the site was created with input and insight from these target audiences, as well as Brown School staff, faculty, current students and prospective students. The result is a new site that enhances the Brown School’s digital storytelling ability for a richer, more user-friendly and responsive experience. Improved features include: Responsive design that supports mobile and tablet viewing A richer exploration of our academic programs More detailed and informative faculty profiles An improved news section with articles searchable according to category Content about the Brown School’s efforts around diversity, inclusion and equity, as well as the School’s involvement in the St. Louis community A Life at Brown section that highlights our unique and welcoming student community A more robust alumni page, including convenient access to alumni-specific resources Expanded information about Professional Development and Career Services “It’s vital that we have a website that dynamically tells the story of our transdisciplinary perspective, innovative research, top-tier faculty and resources, focus on equity and impact, and unique and supportive community,” said Mary M. McKay, Neidorff Family and Centene Corporation Dean of the Brown School. “I am pleased that our new ‘digital front door’ is a genuine reflection of the excellence of the education, spirit and commitment that lies within the Brown School, Washington University, and all who learn, work and collaborate here.” We welcome your feedback and suggestions about the new design, which can be directed to communications@brownschool.washu.edu.
