Capacity Building Scholarship

The Brown School’s Professional Development program is proud to offer a limited number of Capacity Building Scholarships to support professionals working in nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations.

These scholarships are designed to strengthen small agencies by investing in leadership development, fundraising capacity, and operational effectiveness. By expanding access to high-quality executive education, the Brown School aims to increase the impact and sustainability of nonprofit organizations serving our communities.

Eligible organizations must have an annual operating budget of $2 million or less and be located in the St Louis Metropolitan area. Each scholarship provides full tuition support (a $995 value) for the following Advanced Learning Certificate program starting October 2026:

Applications are due by Noon, September 11, 2026, and will be reviewed based on demonstrated organizational need, leadership support, and commitment to applying learning to advance organizational capacity. The application must be completed and submitted by the organization’s Executive Director, CEO, or another designated member of the leadership team.

Please note that admission is subject to availability and granted on a first-come, first-served basis.
