Global Practicum Opportunities
Brown School students have opportunities to apply practice in a global context through practica.
Through a multi-step guided process, students work with faculty and staff to find an international practicum site where students can further their understanding of global practice.
Students in the MSW International Social and Economic Development concentration or an individualized globally-related concentration are able to do a practicum with an organization practicing outside of the U.S.
Selected students doing international practicum may also have access to Khinduka funding to help cover travel and living expenses during their time abroad. This funding is open to all eligible applicants and are awarded without regard to race, ethnicity, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, religion, age, or disability status. We are committed to ensuring that these scholarships are inclusive and accessible to individuals from all backgrounds.
For more information on the Global Practicum process, please contact Tammy Orahood, Director of Global Programs at orahood@wustl.edu.

Brennan Keiser, MSW 2019
Practicum with Nancholi Youth
Organization in Malawi
“One of my most memorable moments was working with the NAYO team to develop a proposal for a new Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) program.
