Haeun Kim

Haeun Kim (she/her) earned her BA in Child Studies and Educational Psychology from Seoul Women’s University and her MA in Social Welfare from Ewha Womans University. During graduate school, she worked on research related to child development, poverty, and juvenile justice, building skills in both qualitative and quantitative methods. She later worked as a foster care case manager, where she supported children and families through mentoring, reunification, and adoption and saw up close the challenges within the child protection system. To better understand and address these gaps, she joined the National Center for the Rights of the Child in South Korea, where she helped carry out national research and brought children’s perspectives into policy discussions.
