Brown School Community Reflections for 2018 12/7/2018 Community Engagement; Faculty; Public Health; Research; Social Work; Students Share this Story: As the year ends, we reflect on the accomplishments and successes of faculty, staff, students and alumni at the Brown School. The successful completion of Leading Together: The Campaign for Washington University raised $96.5 million for the Brown School to further research, student scholarships and facilities. The Brown School welcomed its largest incoming class in history, and will be home to an expanded class of Master of Social Policy dual-degree scholars this year. We celebrated four faculty installations, ensuring support for critical research to advance the fields of social work, public health and social policy. Our students and alumni demonstrated their dedication to equity and the grit to make real world impact, from focusing national attention on police violence in the U.S. to reducing avoidable blindness in Ethiopia. The video highlights just some of the many moments of reflection, accomplishment and joy that the Brown School community is grateful for in 2018 — we are grateful for all of them, and for you.
